The London Borough of Hammersmith & Fulham’s (LBHF) consultation on Transport for London’s (TfL) planning application to redevelop the Former Parsons Green Depot is due to end on 23 February this year. Member of Parliament for Chelsea & Fulham, Greg Hands, would like to remind his constituents that it is not too late to get their voices heard by contacting the Council.
TfL’s proposals include the demolition of the existing buildings at the Former Parsons Green Depot, and the redevelopment of the site. This would provide approximately 119 new homes, including 13 townhouses and 106 apartments ranging from 3 to 6 storeys in height, of which 40 per cent would be affordable housing. The redevelopment would also provide new commercial and public open space, and the existing railway arches would also be refurbished. TfL states that, where possible, existing businesses would be re-accommodated on site, and the local Conservative councillors are doing their best to achieve this.
LBHF recognises that these proposals would constitute a major development; that the proposed development is within a conservation area and may affect its character or appearance; and that the proposed development also adjoins another conservation area and may affect its character or appearance.
Commenting on TfL’s proposals, Member of Parliament for Chelsea & Fulham, Greg Hands, said: “Local residents from Parsons Green and members of the Andrew Robson Bridge Club, for example, have contacted me and their Conservative ward councillors to express their concerns about TfL’s proposed redevelopment of the Former Parsons Green Depot. I would encourage anyone concerned to contact Hammersmith & Fulham Council to have their say on this important local issue.”
