Member of Parliament for Chelsea and Fulham, Greg Hands, has been reappointed Minister for Trade Policy at the Department of International Trade by the Prime Minister the Rt Hon Liz Truss MP.
Greg previously served in the role under both the Rt Hon Theresa May MP and the Rt Hon Boris Johnson.
The Minister of State for Trade Policy supports the Secretary of State for International Trade to secure free trade agreements (FTAs), trade remedies, market access strategy and union policy. The Minister also sits as an advisor on the Board of Trade.
Reacting to his reappointment, Greg said,
“It is an honour and a great privilege to be asked to join His Majesty’s Government as Minister of State for Trade Policy.
I look forward to being back at the Department for International Trade, working with Secretary of State, the Rt Hon Kemi Badenoch MP, her ministerial team and our brilliant trade officials.”
As well as previously serving as Minister for Trade Policy twice, Greg has also served previous Governments in a number of roles including as Minister of State at the Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy and Chief Secretary to the Treasury.
