“I was shocked and saddened to hear of the murder of a 24 year-old man, named in the press as Salim Coulter, on Walham Grove, Fulham, on Monday evening. I gather that the victim was from White City, and my thoughts are with his family.
“I have been contacted by local residents seriously concerned about how a crime of this nature could happen in what is a relatively quiet and residential part of Fulham, just off North End Road. I know that the Met Police did all they could to save this young man’s life, and I should like to reassure my constituents that the Police are working hard, as usual, to make sure that our streets are safe.
“The police are looking for witnesses of this murder, which happened at some point before 9.30pm on Monday evening, and I urge anyone who can provide information on this crime – whether a local resident or a car driver, a pedestrian or a shopkeeper – to contact the Met’s incident room on 020 8785 8099 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
