This week, the MP for Chelsea and Fulham and Minister of State for Trade Policy at the Department for International Trade visited Vietnam with the Foreign Secretary to participate in Trade discussions.
The Minister of State was visiting Vietnam for the UK’s launch of negotiations with the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP). Vietnam has been a strong supporter of the UK joining CPTPP.
During the visit, Greg Hands MP met with the President, the Foreign Minister, the Minister for Trade and Industry, attended ASEM (Asia-Europe) conference in Hanoi, met the Vietnam Deputy PM Minh and Trade Vice Minister Khanh.
Greg Hands MP also visited the British University Vietnam (BUV) to open an expansion and take questions from students. Education is one of the UK’s most important and popular exports and studying at BUV provides students a great way to get a UK degree in Vietnam.
