Dear Resident,
I hope this finds you well.Unfortunately, I tested positive for COVID-19 last Saturday evening, resulting in me working from home for the majority of this week and being unable to attend the House of Commons or face-to-face meetings and events.
As we continue to live with COVID-19, it’s great to see the progress we have made since this time last year when restrictions affected us all. As set out in the Government’s ‘Living with Covid’ plan earlier this year, there is no legal requirement to self-isolate if you test positive for COVID-19, making the UK one of the least restricted countries in Europe.
Coronavirus vaccines are still being offered throughout the country, so if you have not yet received your 1st, 2nd or booster jab, I would encourage you to get vaccinated as we learn to live with this virus. Those aged 12 years old and over can receive their 1st and 2nd jabs whilst those aged 75 years old and over and those with a weakened immune system can receive an additional spring booster.
