News Bulletin #697: Boundary change makes Chelsea & Fulham marginal

Chelsea and Fulham Poll

Dear Resident,

It is a privilege to serve as your Member of Parliament. We are one of the most vibrant and active constituencies in the country and this is because of the people who live and work across Chelsea & Fulham.

As we enter into the Christmas and New Year period, I am starting to look ahead to 2024. Every single vote is going to count to get Tony Devenish re-elected as our GLA member, Susan Hall as our new Conservative London Mayor and there is also the small matter of a General Election to fight.

At next year’s General Election, parliamentary boundaries will change for the first time since 2010.

Chelsea & Fulham is currently a small constituency and to make it closer to the average constituency size in the UK, it will expand to take in two wards in W6 and W14, called Fulham Reach and West Kensington. The new boundary will be at or around the A4 main road from central London to Heathrow. Both wards were solidly Labour at the last Council elections in 2022. This change - the addition of around 15,000 voters - will make Chelsea & Fulham a much closer battle between Conservatives and Labour than it was in 2010, 2015, 2017 or 2019.

I will be the Conservative candidate for the revised Chelsea & Fulham constituency.

After these boundary changes, the seat is very marginal and the most recent projections show the Conservatives behind!

Make sure your vote counts!

Ensure you, your like-minded friends and family plan to vote in Chelsea & Fulham. If you have more than one residence - your vote really matters HERE.

Please register for a Postal Vote!

Registering for a postal vote means you will definitely be able to cast your vote in case the election day clashes with something else in your schedule.

Have a good weekend!

Kind regards,

Greg

The Rt Hon Greg Hands MP

Member of Parliament for Chelsea & Fulham
