Dear resident,
I hope you are well!
Today, you are reading the 700th edition of my e-newsletter to residents of Chelsea & Fulham!
Regular readers will know that I am reporting back every week on what I have been up to in the constituency and in Westminster. For 20 years now, ever since I became your candidate for Parliament, I have been sending out this bulletin almost every week. I don’t think there is any other MP in the House of Commons who has done that. Whilst the bulletin only covers a fraction of my work, the highlights and photos taken at meetings and events, much of the work that my team and I carry out each week goes unreported. I spend a lot of time in the House of Commons listening to debates and voting on motions, bills and amendments.
Hundreds of enquiries reach my office via email, phone call or letter. I bump into dozens of constituents on my commute or when out and about in the constituency and I always enjoy stopping for a chat. Local issues are discussed, campaigns are launched, press releases get issued, interviews are recorded, diaries get planned - the list goes on.
Many regular meetings with colleagues, my constituency team, my Ministerial office at the Department for Business and Trade and the local Conservative Association take place without ever featuring in this newsletter.
I hope you enjoy reading my weekly update!
Kind regards,
Greg
The Rt Hon Greg Hands MP
Member of Parliament for Chelsea & Fulham
