On Monday Greg Hands held his weekly constituency surgery at Fulham Broadway Methodist Church, meeting eight residents with concerns ranging from housing to immigration controls
One elderly, Fulham, constituent was deeply upset by a basement development next door to her home which she said was creating significant dirt and noise. This is an increasingly common concern amongst residents in Chelsea and Fulham and one which the Royal Borough is taking a particularly close interest in. Until 31st January the Council will be conducting a consultation on the views of its residents towards the new planning policy on basement development and Greg encourages everyone with a view to take part. In this lady’s case Greg has raised her particular concerns with her local councillors and awaits the Council’s action on this issue.
Amongst the results Greg has achieved in recent weeks are the prompting of a Housing Association to conduct repairs to a tenant’s home and raising concerns about the reported removal of a couple of pedestrian crossings in Fulham.
If constituents believe their Member of Parliament can assist with their problem Greg is keen to hear from them. Greg said: “I hold my surgeries almost every week of the year and I aim to solve the problem, or at least get my constituents an answer. To make an appointment contact me on [email protected] or call 0207 219 5448.”
