I hope you are well.Following the accession of King Charles III, I was one of the first Members of Parliament to swear my allegiance to the new Monarch. You can watch it here.
Last week, the Government announced its Growth Plan to release the huge potential in the British economy by tackling high energy costs and inflation and delivering higher productivity and wages. In a further announcement, the Chancellor also outlined plans to help cut energy bills for businesses.
The new Health Secretary, unveiled the Government’s Plan for Patients to tackle the challenges facing the NHS. £500 million of additional funding will be made available for adult social care to help people get out of hospitals and into social care support. You can find more details here.
Locally, I enjoyed visiting Theramex, a global pharmaceutical company which specialises in women’s health based at Sloane Square - what a fantastic business, located in the heart of Chelsea. During my meeting with Fulham Reach Boat Club, I was impressed to hear how much work they do with local schools and the community. It is always great to meet with local businesses, clubs and groups which make Chelsea and Fulham such an excellent place to live and work.
