This year, Greg Hands MP has planted a cross in the Constituency Garden of Remembrance in Parliament, in memory of the late Private Bill Speakman VC and in tribute to everybody at the brilliant Royal Hospital in Chelsea.
Private Bill Speakman was a veteran of the Korean War, who fought heroically and was awarded the Victoria Cross.
As the Member of Parliament for Chelsea & Fulham, Greg met Bill at one of the Founder’s Day Parades at the Royal Hospital. Greg reflects on Bill’s astonishing bravery this Remembrance week.
