Dear Resident,
I hope you are well.
Like many of you, I am looking forward to celebrating The Coronation of Their Majesties King Charles III and Queen Camilla over the special bank holiday weekend.
I would encourage residents to get involved in the incredible events happening across Chelsea and Fulham, such as the King’s Road Coronation Street Party. On Saturday, the King’s Road will be pedestrianised from Sloane Square to Cheltenham Place, and will feature live music, entertainment, and a giant feasting table! Read on for more information.
Throughout Chelsea and Fulham, local street parties will be bringing together communities, neighbours, families, and friends to celebrate the Coronation over this special weekend.
On Sunday, we will be able to enjoy the Coronation Concert at Windsor Castle which will showcase the UK’s diverse cultural heritage in music, theatre and dance. The concert is being broadcast live on the BBC or can be watched for free at the screening site in St James’s Park.
In the constituency this week, I had the pleasure of hosting my regular Crime Summit at St Luke’s Church in Chelsea. I was very encouraged by Met Police Superintendent Owen Renowden’s priorities for the area which include renewing focus on neighbourhood police work. Enhancing the visibility and presence of the police will ultimately deter crime and make our streets safer.
I hope you have a great long weekend and enjoy celebrating The King’s Coronation!
Best wishes,
Greg Hands
