Dear Resident,
Last weekend, I was able to catch-up with hard-working, local business owners along the Wandsworth Bridge Road. It was worrying to hear about their thoughts on Labour H&F Council's ill thought-through traffic scheme, and how it is currently negatively impacting their businesses. I was joined by Conservative Councillor Jose Afonso, meeting small business owner Amanda Stocker, who has been so motivated by Labour's failure to listen, that she has launched her own petition on the matter.
Transport for London (TfL) have finally published their plans for our local bus routes during the upcoming full closure of Wandsworth Bridge. Buses will stop either side of the bridge and passengers are being asked to walk across the one-way walkways. This is a terrible prospect for many local residents who rely on buses to get around. I have included the full details about bus routes C3, 28 and 295 below.
The bus disruption comes on top of the expected traffic disruption throughout Chelsea and South Fulham, as cars and lorries are forced to divert to use other bridges, like Chelsea, Albert, Battersea and Putney Bridges. Hammersmith Bridge is, of course, already closed by Labour H&F Council!
I hope you enjoy the rest of the weekend.
Best wishes,
Greg Hands
