Greg Hands welcomes crime falling to a new low

Member of Parliament for Chelsea & Fulham, Greg Hands, has welcomed the announcement that crime has fallen by over a quarter (32 per cent) since 2010, to its lowest ever level, according to the independent Crime Survey for England and Wales.

Commenting on the announcement, Greg Hands said: "These figures show the strength of this Government’s record in bringing crime down to its lowest ever level.

"We have to continue to build on this success by electing a Mayor who will work with the Government to deliver even more visible policing and an even better use of police resources.

"The Metropolitan Police recorded that crime has fallen by ten per cent, which is good news for London and is helping to make our community a safer place in which to live, work, and raise a family."
