This week, the Member of Parliament for Chelsea and Fulham met with two groups of local pupils from Fulham Bilingual School and Kensington Prep School for Q&A sessions.
Greg Hands MP welcomed these pupils back to parliament, albeit virtually, speaking about his role as an MP. The MP discussed what he does as the local Member of Parliament and Minister of State for Trade Policy at the Department for International Trade and responded to the students’ questions on local issues important to them, ranging from Hammersmith Bridge and cycle lanes to littering and air quality.
The sessions were organised by the Parliamentary Education Unit, which offers award-winning free education services for schools, colleges, communities and home educators.
Commenting on these two Q&A sessions, Greg Hands MP said:
“It has been a pleasure to virtually meet with local primary school pupils this week. I was thoroughly impressed with not only the students’ knowledge and desire to learn more about my role but also the importance they placed on local issues within Chelsea and Fulham that have had an impact on them.
I very much look forward to meeting with more local pupils across Chelsea and Fulham, and engaging with them on issues that are of significance to them.”
