On Saturday 17 July, the MP for Chelsea and Fulham visited the pop-up mass vaccination centre at Chelsea FC’s stadium, Stamford Bridge.
The Premier League football club opened its doors, once again, to host a pop-up mass vaccination centre to support the Government’s successful vaccination programme, having previously hosted a mass vaccination centre on Saturday 19 June.
The MP, Greg Hands, was joined at the Chelsea FC mass vaccination centre by the Chairman, Bruce Buck, and North West London NHS head, Professor Julian Redhead.
The centre was offering the AstraZeneca or Pfizer vaccines for all eligible adults over the age of 18, whether it be a first dose, or a second dose if eight or more weeks had passed since the first.
Commenting on the visit, Greg Hands MP said:
“It was a pleasure to visit Chelsea FC’s stadium, Stamford Bridge mass vaccination centre to see the great work by the NHS and volunteers in rolling out the coronavirus vaccines. I am proud of the progress the UK is making, with over 80 million doses of the coronavirus vaccine administered and everyone to book their appointment when offered.”
