Dear Resident,
I hope this finds you well. This week, the World Health Organisation highlighted that the end of the pandemic is in sight for the UK. Thanks to the vaccine rollout and the Government’s balanced view on COVID-19 restrictions, the UK has been one of the most open societies and economies in the whole of Europe this Winter.
The UK is now opening up further and from 27th January, plan B restrictions will end. As a result, measures such as guidance to work from home and vaccine certificates will be scrapped as the country continues its return back to normality.
I would also like to bring to your attention the controversial decision by Sadiq Khan and TfL to reduce the Number 14 bus service from every 7 minutes to every 10 minutes, starting on 12th February. Like me, I know that many of you will use this bus service frequently and will therefore be impacted by this decision, which will make this route even slower and busier!
As you will remember from my resignation from the Government in 2018 to vote against the third runway at Heathrow, I always put my constituents first. I have therefore started a petition calling on TfL to reverse the cuts to the Number 14 bus service. To sign the petition, please click here!
Kind regards,
