Dear Resident,
I hope this finds you well.I would firstly like to welcome the news that the special licence granted to Chelsea FC has been amended to allow Chelsea fans to purchase tickets for Premier League away matches, cup games (including the upcoming FA cup and Champions League fixtures) and women’s fixtures. Revenue generated from the sale of these tickets will go via the Premier League to the relevant competition organiser or the home club, rather than Chelsea FC, to remain compliant with current sanctions.
This is positive news for Chelsea & Fulham, ensuring that Chelsea fans and the local community are not punished for the actions of President Putin and his associates.
I would also like to mention the Chancellor’s Spring Statement, which will help families with the cost of living, create conditions for private sector-led growth and ensure that the proceeds of growth are shared fairly. With measures such as raising the national insurance threshold, cutting the basic rate of income tax from 2024 and raising the Employment Allowance, this Budget will support local residents and the many businesses within Chelsea and Fulham.Lastly, I have created a petition calling on the London Borough of Hammersmith & Fulham (LBHF) to install pedestrian lights at the Wandsworth Bridge and Townmead Road / Carnwath Road intersection. This is a busy junction and to maximise pedestrian safety, lights at this crossing are required. Please click here to sign my petition!
Kind regards,
Greg HandsThe Rt Hon Greg Hands MP
