I hope you are well.
This week, I attended the Chelsea Flower Show where it was great to see Her Majesty the Queen, the first time she has attended this event since 2019.
In other news, I have been in Berlin this week for the meeting of G7 energy, climate and environment Ministers where we discussed measures to help Ukraine, to increase energy security but strongly re-affirm collective and international action against climate change.I would also like to welcome the news that the Government has issued a licence that permits the sale of Chelsea FC to the Todd Boehly consortium. This is great news for Chelsea fans and the local community who can expect a return to normality next season after a period of uncertainty. Football clubs are a significant part of our cultural identity and both our local clubs contribute to our community in Chelsea and Fulham. I therefore hope and expect the new Chelsea owners to place the local fans and local community at the heart of their future plans.
