Dear Resident,
I hope this finds you well.
It has been yet another busy week for me in Westminster and in the constituency, which has varied from visiting the new Post Office on Munster Road to answering Oral Questions on Scotland in the House of Commons.
I also had the pleasure of officially opening the refurbished and expanded Imperial Wharf station, including a new ramped entrance. I was here with then London Mayor Boris Johnson at the original opening of the station in September 2009 and since then, it has been a massive success, connecting Sands End, Chelsea Harbour and Lots Road with transport hubs across West London.
The new entrance and ticket gateline will allow quicker and easier access, especially during peak hours, to northbound services towards Shepherds Bush, Willesden Junction and Stratford, helping to reduce congestion and improve journey times.
In other news, TfL have announced that they have extended the deadline for responses to their consultation on the extreme bus cuts to 7 August. However, I have written to Sadiq Khan requesting that he extend the deadline to 30 September, giving residents a reasonable amount of time to respond to these outrageous proposals.
Please don’t forget to sign my petition opposing the proposals to axe entirely our local bus routes: 11, N11, 14, 31, 74, N74, C3 and change or reduce routes: 19, 27, 49, 211, 328, 414, 430 by clicking here!Kind regards,
