Update 22 June 2024 - New North End Road Post Office to open on 15 July
Greg is pleased to share the news we have all been waiting for: Greg has been informed by Post Office Ltd that the new Post Office on North End Road will open to customers on 15 July!
The new NER Post Office is to be located at 363 North End Road, less than 1 minute walk from the old location.
Following Greg's most recent intervention, liaising with both Post Office Ltd and Royal Mail, to iron out some issues with the required loading bay, we now have the result we have been fighting for!
Since the first announcement in Autumn 2022, that the North End Road Post Office (located in the Co-op) would close in September 2023, Greg has been campaigning to retain a Post Office in the North End Road. Thanks to people power from nearly 1,500 residents, who signed Greg's petition, we have achieved a fantastic result together.
Greg has consistently fought for residents to ensure that we have the local services needed, and will continue to do so!

Update 14 May 2024 - People power!
Last week Greg shared a positive update from Post Office Ltd and today, he is really pleased to share that we should be getting our North End Road Post Office shortly. What a brilliant victory for people power!
Almost 1,500 residents signed Greg’s petition, and it is thanks to public pressure that new premises have been found. The new NER Post Office is to be located at 363 North End Road, and it is expected that it will open in June, providing a seven day a week service.
Greg spoke to Post Office Ltd yesterday and final touches are still in process: The Post Office will require a designated loading bay outside the premises to ensure the safe collection of mail and cash. Greg has therefore urgently contacted LBHF council and Royal Mail to see what can be done to sort this out promptly.
Greg is so pleased that local voices have been heard.
Both the new North End Road Post Office and the new Lidl store will be great additions to our local high street.

Update 9 May 2024 - Progress on the NER Post Office campaign!
Last year, Greg shared the very positive news from Post Office Ltd that they have an applicant for the Fulham Post Office. Last week, Greg received an update from the Post Office that the applicant is still progressing, and plans are being made to restore services as soon as they can.
This is good news, and Greg will continue to make the case for our needed Post Office, and keep residents updated with developments.
The Post Office was located within the Co-op supermarket at 254 North End Road. While Lidl are set to take over the premises, they are unable to house the Post Office.
Residents may have noticed that 254 North End Road has been closed for some time. However, Greg received confirmation from Lidl last week that this store on the North End Road will be opening this Summer, following a multi-million pound investment into the area.
The new store will create 40 jobs new jobs and Greg understands that this store will have a bakery, too – maybe they could even bake some Chelsea Buns! This new store will be a great asset to our local high street.

Update 15 September 2023 - Applicant for new Post Office
Greg has received the very positive news from Post Office Ltd that they have an applicant for the Fulham Post Office. As residents will know, the Post Office which was previously located within the Co-op supermarket on North End Road is now temporarily closed. The Co-op will be taken over by Lidl, but without the Post Office branch.
Greg has been campaigning hard on this local issue – residents need a Post Office. This is why his petition was signed by 1,488 residents. The message is clear from local residents – save our beloved North End Road Post Office!
Post Office Ltd have told Greg that they are now working as quickly as possible with the applicant and Greg will of course keep residents updated.

Update 18 July 2023 - Greg presents his petition
Since the announcement in Autumn 2022, that the North End Road Post Office would close in September 2023, Greg has been campaigning to retain a Post Office in the North End Road vicinity.
The Post Office is currently located within the Co-op supermarket at 254 North End Road and is a vital service for many residents. However, later this year, Lidl are set to take over the premises. Greg has met with Post Office Ltd on numerous occasions and has written to both Lidl UK and Lidl HQ in Germany to voice concerns and make the case for retaining our Post Office. Unfortunately, Lidl are displaying no effort to retain a Post Office, therefore forcing the closure of this much needed and much-loved local amenity.
On Friday 14 July 2023 Greg presented his petition with 1488 signatures to Post Office Ltd, calling upon Post Office Ltd to retain a Post Office in the vicinity of North End Road, Fulham, SW6. The message is clear from local residents – save our beloved North End Road Post Office!
The threatened closure of the main Fulham Post Office will be devastating for local residents. When the Fulham Crown Post Office closed in 2003, Post Office Ltd assured Greg there would continue to be a major branch on or just off North End Road. Greg is urging them to keep fulfilling that pledge.

Greg was concerned to hear recently that the Post Office in the Co-op at 254 North End Road, Fulham, is being threatened with closure.
The Post Office has been advised by Co-op, which operates the Post Office in Fulham, to leave. The notice period expires in September 2023.
Greg knows that many residents rely on the services that this particular Post Office branch supplies.
When the Fulham Crown Post Office closed in 2003, Post Office Ltd assured Greg there would continue to be a major branch on or just off North End Road. Greg is looking for the Post Office and/or the Co-op to keep fulfilling that pledge.
To show the local demand for the branch on North End Road, Greg has started a petition calling on the Co-op and Post Office to retain a Post Office within the vicinity of North End Road.
