The ‘up’ escalator from the eastbound platform at Sloane Square Tube Station had been out of order since before Christmas last year.
This was completely unacceptable. Many residents in Chelsea and Fulham use this station, and public transport has to be accessible for everyone. Greg Hands created a petition calling on TfL and Mayor Khan to repair the escalator as soon as possible.
Fortunately, TfL have now re-opened the escalator, only 48 hours after Greg created the petition, ensuring that all local residents can now use this escalator when exiting the station.
